Back up your options.txt file and your xaero folder before updating, or you lose your keybinds and your explored map. Configs for a lot of mods changed, so if you know these mods, do not expect everything to be the same. Some mods that were not necessary on the client were removed.
The most wanted feature is here: wine making, beer brewing, teas and coffee. Grow grapes and tea per biome (see farming), press, ferment, brew, and let time age it.
Food, tools, armor, and weapons now roll quality. Better quality food feeds better, better quality gear fights better, and a reforging station lets you reroll. Advanced Netherite adds tiers beyond netherite.
Via Romana adds infrastructure driven fast travel: link signs along a real built road and you can travel between them. No road, no fast travel. Build your empire's road network.
Sophisticated Storage: upgradeable tiered chests, barrels, and shulkers.
Letters, books and instruments: send mail by pigeon with Envelope, write better books with Scholar, play music with Genshin Instruments.
Sail heraldry: paint custom patterns on your ship sails with an in game editor, and NiftyCarts adds carts for travel, shipping, and farming.
Supplementaries, Supplementaries Squared, Dusty Decorations, and Olafs Relatively Placed Blocks for builders.
Cinematic Respawn: a smooth cinematic transition from death to respawn.
