Simple Voice Chat gives you working proximity voice: players near you hear you, distance matters. It supports push to talk and voice activation, whispering, password protected groups, individual volume adjustment per player, and neural network noise suppression.
Negotiations happen face to face, market haggling is spoken, and sneaking up on someone means they can literally hear you coming. Check Options, Controls for the voice keybinds, and the voice chat menu lets you test your microphone.
